Paris Landing is a special place to me. As a child, it was where my family spent weekends and vacations. It's a place filled with good memories, family, and adventure.
As an adult, I continued coming here on vacation, but I always envisioned Paris Landing as the place I would eventually call home. It was where I always wanted to be.
I finally got to move here permanently in 1991. Now, when people ask me where I'm going on vacation, I simply say, "I'm here."
I live here. I have family and friends here. I love it here. I think it's a very special place. It's a great place to visit and a wonderful place to live.
And that's what this website is all about: living here. If you're looking for information about fishing and hunting, you're in the wrong place. You might want to visit this site.

So, what makes it so special?
First of all, there's this.

Living at The Lake is about peace and quiet, except for a few holiday weekends. It's about living in the woods on or near the water. It's about hearing birds chatter in the morning as you step outside with a cup of coffee and settle onto your porch or deck.
It's about catching the scent of lake air, which has a distinct aroma all its own. Not fishy, just unmistakably The Lake. You can actually smell it in the breeze.
It's about the wild turkeys and deer that wander through your backyard. It's also about putting up with poor cell phone service while everyone waits for those eagle eggs to hatch in the nest atop the cell tower.
Sometimes there's a little bad mixed in with the good, but it all works out.
