I've been a little distracted lately. I joined a garden club and, oh my heavens, what an adventure it's been!

In 2024, I suggested that we install a raised-bed garden on the patio of what used to be a burger bar.

The idea was to create a garden where members of our club could come together to share their knowledge, learn more about gardening, and enjoy working side by side while beautifying our community.

We hoped it would become a place that inspires others to plant more trees, shrubs, and flowers throughout the area, adding beauty and color along the highway and beyond.

Two years later, here we are.

The garden sits right in the heart of Paris Landing on Highway 79 N, next door to AMVETS Post 49. The property is actually owned by AMVETS, and they have been incredibly generous in allowing the Blossomway Garden Club to use the space for our garden.

You can see more photos and read all about the garden on Blossomway's Facebook page or their website.

I'm incredibly proud of this project and the women from Blossomway for all their work and dedication.

Next project - doing something about that ugly sign in the background.
